Color Chemistry Starts Here
The Consultation
The consultation is where your formula begins. We look at your starting canvas, discuss lifestyle, and build a personalized roadmap.
When is a consultation strictly required?
A consultation is required for major color transformations (brunette to platinum or copper), corrective color (fixing uneven dye or box color), and first-time vivid fashion colors. For regular haircut maintenance or simple root refreshes, you can book directly on Vagaro.
What photos should I bring or have ready?
Please take 2-3 current photos of your hair taken in outdoor natural daylight (not direct harsh sunlight or yellow bathroom lighting) showing the front, sides, and back. Also save 3-4 inspiration photos of what you love — and 1-2 photos of tones you definitely do NOT want.
Why does my hair history matter so much?
Even if you dyed your hair black with box color two years ago and it looks faded, those synthetic color molecules remain inside the hair cortex. Lifting hair with past artificial pigment behaves completely differently from virgin hair. Being transparent protects your hair from breakage.
Can my dream color happen in a single session?
Sometimes yes, but often dramatic transformations require 2 to 3 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Syd's priority is hair health: we will never compromise your hair's elasticity for a quick result.
What happens during the consultation?
You and Syd will sit down for 20 minutes, examine your hair texture and porosity, perform a test strand if needed, formulate a game plan, and provide an exact quote and time estimate before scheduling.
